Boston, here we come!

Joe had a business trip to Boston the middle of November and I got to go with him. We stayed in Cambridge just down the road from MIT. Joe spent three days at the ITT booth of the Energy Harvesting trade show with long days. I got to wander around Cambridge and Boston which I love. New England is one of my favorite places especially in the fall. As you can see the trees still had a lot of color on them and the temperature was wonderful and warm.

I love the contrast of the old and new in Boston. These pictures were taken from Cambridge looking over the Charles River at Boston.

I was able to spend one day at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. As I was waiting for the shuttle at the hotel to take me to the "T" to get on the train to go to the museum a lady was waiting and said she wanted to go to the museum but was afraid to ride the T. I invited her to go with me, so we ending up spending the day together at the museum which turned out to be a very enjoyable day.
Joe at the trade show. He is the one in the blue shirt. They, ITT, won the Best of Show Award.

After the show we drove up to Maine to spend four days for a break and rest. We got to visit our friends which we met when we were at BYU 37 years ago. It is great to have good friends. We also got to spend time and attend church with Joe's brother Ken and his family. They have a wonderful small Branch they attend. Great people. We stayed in a hotel right on the beach in Old Orchard Beach. The above picture is from the beach in front of our hotel. It was so beautiful.
