The cutest

Beutiful New England Fall

The fall was one of the most beautiful falls I have ever seen. It was past peak but still just spectacular. I am going to post some of the pictures I took with my new camera. It took great pictures. The first ones are from Gloucester, The statue is a tribute to the fishermen lost at sea. Over 5000 men have lost their life since 1700. Lots of the shots are the ocean, the places in the area.

Back to New England

Joe and I got to go back to New England for 10 days this past week. We flew into Portland Maine.

We stayed with our friends for a couple of days. We have been friends for over 30 years. When we get together we seem to pick up our conversation right where we left off from our last time together. It is great to have friends like this.
We then left Maine and went to Gloucester, Massachusetts. We stayed at the Bass Rock Inn which is right on the beach. We stayed there four days. Joe went into Boston on the Train. They have a great transit system in Massachusetts. While Joe was at meetings I got to site see. I spend one day seeing Gloucester, a day each at Newburyport, Salem and Rockport. I love the history and I love New England. I loved the time when we lived in Nashua, NH. Next time we go back I want to get our family history out and find the places our ancestors lived.

Cool camera

I want a new camera! I have been looking at camera's every time I would stop in Best Buy, Sams etc. I was always looking for one that had a fast shutter speed. My digital camera is almost eight years old, has only 2 mega pixels and a very slow shutter/record time. I found the camera I had been dreaming about. It is a Canon, the PowerShot SD880 IS. It takes pictures fast and even can take one right after another, (continuous Shooting) has a large display screen and a Lithium-ion battery. I love how easy it is to use.

I found a great website!

I just heard about a great website that helps you with menus, recipes, creates a shopping list and you can even edit it with your own menus. This looks like a really time saver. The address is:
http://www.simplifysupper.com I'm for any help I can with menus. I did a Google and found the following site that might be good also. Check it out and enjoy.

Our Vacation Home

We have a beautiful vacation home in the lovely town of Idaho Falls. It has been our home for the past 23 years. We have it up for sale but with the housing market being so crazy we might have a vacation home for awhile.

Zoo Day

Today Papa and I took Braeden and Carter to the zoo with us. Joe's work had a day at to zoo. We had a great time seeing all the animals. Braeden was our guide, telling us where to go next. We had a map that showed where the animals were and he could tell what most of the pictures were and then told us to go see this animal next and so on. The boys loved the new carousel ride the best. Two rides each! It was really hot, high 90's today so we decided to head home about 2:00. The boys wanted to stay longer.

Day two of my blog

After spending a few hours playing around with fonts, colors and finding backgrounds on the internet I think I have got the look I want for my blog. I am going to learn more about what I can do with my blog. I want to post information about CHAD Bags and I hope to sell some of my handbags. I also want to list good books I have read and maybe I'll add some good recipes.
Joe and I are three weeks into our diet. We have three more weeks left. We have not lost the weight as fast this time as the first time we did the diet. But we are losing weight and that is a good thing. It might take us a year but that is ok if we can just keep on track.

Ipod

A couple of months ago Carl got an Ipod. Joe then decided he wanted one. I tried his out and decided I wanted one also. So for Mother's day Joe got me one with my past Christmas money I had saved for a long time. I really love my Ipod. I have checked out lots of audio books from the library and learned how to put them on Itunes. Listening to my Ipod is a great way to pass the time when I am cleaning the condo's. Today Joe and I have been loading some more audio books on the computer that we can then put on our Ipods. He is putting them in the audio book format so it will be easier to listen to and also we can listen to different books and not loose our place.

New blog.

I decided to create my very own blog. I hope to post some interesting things that are happening to me. Well, maybe just post some information. I want to post pictures of my CHAD Bags that I have for sell. I want to post author and books that I have read and enjoyed and maybe start writing about things that happened in my past. Hope you enjoy my ramblings.
